Asphalte plot
An apartment complex in France. One of the tenants is the terminally depressed Sternkowitz. Above him lives Charly, a teenager whose parents are permanently absent and who befriends his new neighbor, the actress Jeanne Meyer. Another resident is Madame Hamida, an Algerian immigrant whose son is in prison and whose life changes when an American astronaut knocks on her door.
