Arakawa under the Bridge plot
Kou Ichinomiya comes from a wealthy family and is the owner of a famous big company. From an early age he was taught never to owe anyone anything. As a result, he has developed an obsession in this regard. He never wants to be indebted to anyone and when he does, he immediately suffers from asthma attacks. One day, he falls into the Arakawa River and is rescued by drifter Nino. He feels indebted to her and asks how he can pay her back. However, Nino just wants him to love her. Desperate, Kou decides to live under the Arakawa bridge with her and the other homeless people.
