Altar Egos plot
In an effort to fill the church, Pastor John and his wife Betsy are taking a different approach to Christmas this year. But the old, somewhat entrenched choirmaster Mary Margaret, who is also his stepmother, strongly disagrees. She gets the choir to boycott Christmas. Pastor John fears he will have to resign, so he has no choice but to go undercover as an old man to bridge the generation gap, persuade Mary and get the choir back to the church. But the Christmas service is not the only problem…
