"There's always a right reason to do the wrong thing."
Since witnessing a tragic family drama, Kate has isolated her as much as possible, even at work in a major department store. Her husband James, the manager of the ambitious department store, does his best to get her out of her shell, but Kate wants to stay in her own world. Lacking intimacy, James turns to Nicole, a cashier and single mother. When a new temporary worker is hired, this has major consequences for the entire store.
