A Time for Loving plot

An apartment in Paris is inhabited over the years by various people with love affairs. For example, Geoff notes that his first love, Patricia, has become bitter and that the warmth has disappeared from their relationship. In the apartment, Geoff wants to relive their first affair, but the janitor's son throws a spanner in the works. When the Second World War begins, Marcel, the director of an important cement company, arrives at the studio he rents for his mistress. There he runs into a German Oberleutnant who changes his Christmas Eve.
