A Broadway Scandal plot

Nenette Bisson, dancing at her father's French restaurant in New York, takes a ride with "Kink" Colby in a stolen car. She is then shot in the shoulder by a pursuing police officer. The driver leaves her in the hospital of David Kendall, with whom she falls in love, but he, who believes that French women are frivolous, does not return her affection.
