Fleming plot

In 1939 London, he leads the life of a rambunctious playboy. His father died a hero's death as a soldier, his brother triumphs as a writer and his mother is someone who knows everything better. Ian is considered the failure of the family. Yet he dreams of becoming 'the ultimate man': a hero, a lover, a savage charmer whom all women fall for. At the outbreak of World War II, Ian sees his chance to prove his worth by joining the Navy's intelligence service. At first, he sees his new job as a great adventure. But as the war progresses, he begins to discover more and more what he is good at.
