Experimentul Pitesti plot

Between 1948 and 1951, Romania conducted a shocking psychological experiment, a "re-education through torture." Political prisoners and dissidents were subjected to a psychological torture program with the aim of turning them into communist supporters. Today, few people know that this experiment ever took place. The film follows Herman, who under these extreme conditions turns into an effective torture machine.
