The Violinist plot
Singapore, late 1930s. Kai and Fei are childhood friends and aspiring violinists. When Japan invades Malaya in 1941, Kai decides to give up his music career to join the anti-Japanese forces. After the war, Kai goes missing. Determined to find him, Fei performs throughout Southeast Asia, while simultaneously searching for any news about Kai. But as time passes, Fei must decide whether to find her own music to shape the remaining years of her life.
