A young boy meets a ruined businessman in a treeless wasteland and hears his story of what happened to him. His tragic tale is of how he started a thriving business by cutting down a useless fashion product from the trees of a forest. While his business flourishes, the forest and its inhabitants suffer as he slashes the trees without heeding the warnings of a wise old creature called the Lorax about the terrible consequences of his greed.
