The Robotech Expedition Force is engaged in their final battle with the Invids, an alien race targeting humanity. Scott Bernard leaves his beloved Ariel to join the REF in search of the warship SDF-3, which belongs to the Invids. But another old enemy of the Invids also emerges and wants to destroy all humans as well.
