Eu e Meu Avô Nihonjin plot
Sao Paulo, 1980s. Noboru has to prepare a school presentation about his Japanese heritage, which he has always tried to hide. He must therefore turn to his grumpy grandfather Hideo to learn more about his family and the history of their arrival in Brazil in 1920, when he was still a young man. Hideo has always avoided talking about his past and his uprootedness, but under pressure from his wife, a loving grandmother, he reluctantly agrees to tell Noboru his story and how he settled in South America.
