Another World plot

A spiritual guide in the afterlife helps souls achieve reincarnation. He encounters a young girl whose rage threatens to turn her into a monster. Now he must save her while learning about human emotions.

Enjoy.

I had been looking forward to this film for quite a while, especially because the art style strongly reminded me of Morimoto's films. The film (naturally) doesn't reach that level, but Tommy Kai really does come close. And that is saying something for an animated film from Hong Kong, which isn't exactly a paradise for animation. They likely drew some inspiration from their Chinese neighbors.

An ambitious film (perhaps a bit too much for some, meaning the story demands quite a bit from the viewer), beautiful fantasy settings, fun characters, a nice mix of action and adventure, and a number of scenes that will stick with you for a long time. Give me more films like this, please!
