Sin Sister plot
Itinerant dancer Pearl is stranded somewhere in Alaska. Since there is no branch of her bank nearby, Pearl is delighted by the hospitality of a wealthy family, who are themselves stranded in desolate Alaska. Both a bad-tempered fur trader and a lonely Eskimo long for Pearl. Salvation seems to come from Peter Van Dykeman, the secretary of her host family.
