Goubbiah, Mon Amour plot

On the coast of Yugoslavia, in 1955, the young fisherman Goubbiah meets the gypsy Trinida and falls in love with her. But her father Joao has promised the girl since childhood to Peppo, a drunkard and member of the tribe. Despite the father's fierce resistance and Carola's advances, who is paid by the latter to seduce Goubbiah and make Trinida forget, Goubbiah does not give up this love. He decides to defy the gypsy tribe and obliges the father to allow his daughter's marriage to him.
