Cold River plot

It's the fall of 1923: Mike, his daughter Lizzy, and her stepbrother Tim go camping on the Cold River. Mike hopes that the children, who don't like each other at all, will get to know each other better. Just as they are on their way, Mike dies and Lizzy and Tom are left alone in the wilderness. The children are caught in a snowstorm but are rescued by an old poacher, who takes them to his cabin and teaches them to respect each other. One day the poacher disappears and the children are taken hostage by an escaped convict.
