Unbeknownst to him, the cheerful, high-spirited Daniel Boone Brown has become a guinea pig in a bizarre experiment by Dr. Ulrich Metz. In all sorts of ways, the psychologist hopes to manipulate Daniel's mental health in such a way that Daniel's misery will end his life. However, Daniel is not easily put off and luck even seems to smile on him when he meets Lucette, a woman with whom he appears to have a lot in common, partly thanks to the consequences of the experiment.
