Vechtmeisje plot
When her parents end up in a divorce, the idiosyncratic and highly flammable Bo (12) moves with her mother and brother to an Amsterdam suburb. There, neighbor Joy introduces her to the kickboxing club. She turns out to be a natural talent and is soon allowed to participate in the Dutch championships, but Bo is distracted by the divorce of her parents and the competition is increasingly endangered. Bo must learn to control herself and accept that she can't control everything.

What a gem of a Dutch film. Really much better quality than 'In love with Cuba', 'In love with Ibiza' and 'Our boys', etc.
The kids in this movie play very well and pure. Compliments also for Imanuelle Grives. She plays strong.
Of course it is more of a 'children's' film, but the film is also excellent viewing material for adults.
Nice soundtrack too.
Just go and see.
I would have liked the title to be a bit tougher than 'Fight Girl'.

Never thought I'd be fascinated watching a movie about kickboxing again. Yet that is the case here with this youth film about a rebellious teenager, who learns through trial and error at the gym to steer her short-tempered character in a positive direction. Well directed by Johan Timmers. The leading role of Aiko Beemsterboer is also worth mentioning.

excellent youth/family film with a well-played leading role by Aiko Beemsterboer as the fighting girl.
the role of coach played by Imanuelle Grives is also excellent.
irritating and very poorly acted, both of her parents have, fortunately they were not much in the picture.
thinks this film belongs in the list of the books/and films of eg Carry Slee (eg Afblijven, Spijt! etc.)
these are also often about problem children, family problems, etc.
Well entertained for 1.5 hours
