The Night Driver plot

Traveling salesman Hurdis Jones is driving along a dark stretch of highway at night when he accidentally hits a long-haired stranger. While Hurdis is taking the seriously injured man to the hospital, he is attacked by his passenger. From that moment on, Hurdis tries to get home to California quickly, but the stranger is hot on his heels. At the same time, he is wanted by Detective Hank Granger, who has learned from the FBI that Hurdis is a serial killer.
