Jim Loomis and Mike Marsh are both riding for Pat Cassarian. Jim expects his girlfriend Holly to arrive, but before she arrives, he dies in a race. Because she has no money for the return trip, she decides to stay. Young, ambitious Ned Arp joins the team and immediately begins flirting with Pat's sister, Julie. The third to join the team is womanizer Dan McCall, who brings his girlfriend from Paris.
