Piratene plot

The film follows a group of unemployed young people in the small fishing village of Svolvær in Lofoten. Conditions in the small fishing village are poor for the young people and the lack of work means they have to scrape by. Eventually, they become frustrated with their lack of prospects and start an illegal radio station. The radio station is intended to complement the struggling Norwegian national broadcaster, NRK. The youth radio station quickly degenerates into a mobile pirate radio station that attacks the pillars of society and the hopeless job prospects for young people.
