Loyal Opposition plot

The president goes on a peacekeeping mission to the Middle East, but before his departure, the situation escalates due to a terrorist attack. The president favors mediation and negotiations and thus stands in the way of the general who advocates an attack policy. In order to intervene militarily, he kidnaps the president and only the vice president can save the situation.
