Kira & El Gin plot
"Based on 1919 novel"
Cairo, 1919. After World War I, the Egyptian soldiers of the old empire are traumatized, the Spanish flu has ravaged the country and nationalist leaders are being deported amid fierce protest. One immune to the uproar is Abdel Qader, an apolitical drug dealer called the Jinn who continues to do business with the colonizer. But when injustice shakes him up, he joins an underground resistance group led by Ahmed Kira, a doctor who has an advantage over the British.
