Drive like Lightning plot

"The state police, the highway patrol and the FBI are on their tail. But for Charlie and Ginger, the sky's the limit."

Charlie Webster (Steven Bauer) is asked to truck a specially built stunt car for Boll Donner (William Russ), once his rival, to Los Angeles. On the way, the truck breaks down and Charlie decides to continue the trip with the special cart with hitchhiker Ginger (Cynthia Gibb). That was a foreseeable decision, as he gets into a fight with the State Troopers and is forced to pull one stunt after another. This gives Charlie the chance to reaffirm himself (and his manhood).
