Die Grüne Wolke plot

A large green cloud has turned virtually all of humanity to stone. The only survivors are eight children, their intrepid teacher Birnenstiel and a millionaire, who happened to be suspended in a balloon above the cloud. They have to follow their own laws and rules and experience the strangest adventures.
