Dead Badge plot

"A clean cop. A corrupt precinct. The bad blood is about to boil."

Police officer Dan Sampson happens to have the same badge number as the late Officer Manny Torres, who died in the line of duty. The circumstances surrounding Torres' death, officially ruled a drug overdose, become Sampson's obsession. After Sampson begins investigating Torres' file and visits Torres' widow, various individuals begin making attempts to murder Sampson.
