Das Halstuch plot

Littleshore, a suburb of London. A young woman is found dead, strangled with a scarf. Inspector Harry Yates is assigned the case. But who is the victim? She is quickly recognized by landowner Alistair Goodman. It concerns Faye Collins, sister of the disabled musician Edward Collin. Marian Hastings, the wealthy Goodman's fiancée, reportedly saw Faye with an unknown man on the night of the murder.
