Chaos plot
"When the system breaks down... someone is about to get rich."
One morning, five masked men in Seattle raid a bank and take the bank clerks and customers hostage. When the police arrive and cordon off the area, Lorenz, the leader of the gang, is only willing to negotiate with Detective Inspector Quentin Conners, who was recently suspended for a serious transgression. Reluctantly, Connors agrees to re-enlist, especially since he must now team up with a police rookie, Inspector Shane Dekker.

Oh well, an action hero blockbuster with a plot that should pass as a psychological thriller. Not a pleasant combination for me. But this one was still pretty good... *3.0

Once another Statham, I didn't see him fight actually. In any case, a fairly modest and quiet role. He's not necessarily a great actor and I'd rather see him fight, but he manages quite reasonably. Great role from Philippe too.
Story itself is nice, and you don't necessarily see the twist itself coming, although you know something is coming, because Statham disappearing from the picture halfway through can't mean anything other than that there will be a twist at the end[/ spoiler]. Not a very special shot, nothing special either, but as a whole it looks quite nice. 3.0*.

Apparently I hadn't seen this one yet or remembered nothing while watching it. Had also watched Cellular before and this one still looked familiar, so I immediately took a few other films with Jason Statham or in the genre. So is this 'Chaos'. The movie kept me captivated from start to finish. These are films that I could probably appreciate even more 15 years ago, now these kinds of films are just too ordinary for me.
