Blonde Comet plot
Europe, late 1930s. Beverly 'Blonde Comet' Blake is the daughter of an American car tire manufacturer Cannonball Blake, who enjoys great success as a race car driver in the races in Italy, France and Germany. After that, Beverly returns to the American racetracks. During a race she meets Jim Flynn, another top racing driver and also her rival. Nevertheless, both fall in love with each other. Beverly forgoes 'THE BIG RACE' and gives Jim credit for winning the race. Jim's win also seems to be a win for a new type of carburetor he invented and may also mean a win for Beverly's father Cannonball, who developed special tires for Jim's race car.
