Khamoshi: The Musical plot
The devout couple Joseph and Flavy Braganza live in Goa. They are both deaf and dumb. Joseph earns a living by selling soap door to door. They have two children, Annie and Sam, who can speak and hear. When little Sam dies suddenly a few years later, Joseph loses his faith. Because the sale of soap does not bring in enough money, he starts a toy factory. From that moment on, his family is much better. Annie grows up and becomes a celebrated singer. She falls in love with Raj. This is against her father's wishes, partly because Raj is a Hindu and her father is afraid of losing Annie forever, which will also cause him to lose his contacts with the outside world.
