Great part again.

Vicious Circles: Confusing, but atmospheric and ultimately captivating film. 6/10

Dante the Great: Didn't get excited about this at all. A few nice shots but otherwise an uninteresting, almost boring affair. 3.5/10

Parallel Monsters: This segment about some kind of satanic aliens delivered quite a few WTF moments. Funny and dark. 7/10

Bonestorm: Awesome! Dynamic and colorful shot rollercoaster without block brakes. 8.5/10

On average I get 3.25* (would have been half a point higher without Dante the Great)

Well, I do like these kinds of anthologies. The previous VHS films were of varying quality, but always had some positive highlights. That is also the case here with Dante the Great. A nice idea that is especially beautifully translated into images. The other two films initially seem promising, but ultimately fall through due to a rudderless plot and a somewhat long-winded elaboration, despite some visually very strong scenes (the machine and the painted faces). The binding story, on the other hand, really makes no sense. An excess of VHS effects and a total lack of plot get on your nerves so much that you would almost forget that this is a reasonable sequel after all.

Unbelievably weak VHS entry with each story lacking balls or originality. All pure mediocrity. Not a single director who REALLY dares to do something different. Rarely captivating. Every now and then it rises above the weak level (the denouement of the Spanish story). But this is not good. In the meantime my 2nd from the VHS series but I am not blown away yet.
