La Chana plot
In the 1960s and 1970s, Antonia Santiago Amador, alias 'La Chana', caused a furore as a flamenco dancer - until she suddenly disappeared from the spotlight, at the height of her career. After an appearance in the film The Bobo (1967), co-star Peter Sellers invited her to Hollywood, but it never came to that. In her baroque boudoir in Barcelona, the dancer, now elderly and infirm, reveals the reason for her sudden career break. In the meantime, she is preparing with friends and family for a performance in which she will perform - seated, but still with impressive footwork.
