The Search plot
The Chechen War, 2000. Carole, a member of the European Union for Human Rights, is looking for evidence of this horrific conflict when she meets Hadji, a nine-year-old boy who refuses to speak. He is deeply traumatized by the horrors he endured and believes he is the only one of his family to survive. However, his sister Raïssa is still alive and is eagerly looking for her two brothers. Kolia is a twenty-year-old Russian who has been dehumanized by the army and transformed into a soldier who kills civilians without remorse.
