"A Childhood. A Neighborhood. An Ode to Life"

Claude Demers returns to the working-class neighborhood in Verdun near Montreal where he grew up. He tries to relive or at least understand all those experiences he had as a child for the first time. The first novel he read and the power of language he felt in it. His first realization of death. The question is what is normal and what is not. The idea of wanting to leave, having to leave. In addition, we follow the adventures of two neighborhood boys, who are on the threshold of adulthood, ready to discover the world.
