Ned Med Vaabnene plot

Martha (Augusta Blad), an upper-class woman, loses her first husband (Alf Blütecher) in a war. After a few years she remarries an officer in the army (Olaf Fønss). However, her new husband is soon called up for another war. At the outbreak of this war, an optimistic mood prevails among Martha's friends and family, but this quickly changes when they are confronted with the terror of the war. In the end they all come to the same conclusion: war does not pay.
