Finding Vivian Maier plot
Sometimes they are still there: discoveries at flea markets or auctions that amaze the world. John Maloof of Chicago bought a box full of negatives at an auction in 2007. The stuff was sold due to unpaid bills. He was stunned by the content and started looking for more from the same source. He now has boxes full of about a hundred thousand photos. The creator: the late Vivian Maier, an anonymous nanny. She was born in 1926 and lived with her employers. On her days off, she walked endlessly through the streets with her camera. When Maloof contacted her in 2009 it turned out that she had just passed away.
