Behind the Redwood Curtain plot

The American Redwood Forest is a closed world that appeals to the imagination. The forest consists of huge redwoods and is home to several communities; a veil of towering trees seals the forest and its inhabitants from the outside world. There are no Walmarts or Starbucks here, the landscape is formed by small villages, large trees and literally and figuratively a thick fog. But the advancing urbanization threatens to break the curtain.
