Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox plot

"Fight the future."

When time travel makes it possible to fix something wrong in the past wrong for Flash and his family, the time waves prove to be terrible. A fractured alternate reality emerges in which the Justice League was never formed and Superman is nowhere to be found. A new world ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman's Amazons and Aquaman's Atlanteans, Flash must team up with a rougher, more violent Batman and the Government Cyborg Agent to restore continuity to Flash's original timeline.

I only know DC from the films and series, with a few Batman animated movies. I've never seen any other animations or read comics, so my background is likely different from other fans. In part, having that background is actually useful, because we get to see a whole lot of characters. The story is certainly more interesting than the average DC adaptation. In a relatively short timeframe, without even a character introduction. It moves along nicely at times and has plenty of pace. The poor animation style does mean there is little personality in the characters, though. But the story makes up for a lot. Practically every DC film is an origin story, so it's nice to see something different for a change. Had this story been adapted into a film, they could have offered more competition to the MCU.
