Hwajangshil Eodieyo? plot
The story begins in an extraordinarily stale public toilet in Beijing, the birthplace of Dongdong, who is subsequently nicknamed the 'God of Toilets'. Now eighteen, he faces the imminent death of the kind old lady who found and raised him, and the departure of his best friend Tony, who is looking for a miracle cure for his little brother, who is quite ill. The storyline, which was already not simple, now becomes a veritable garden of intersecting paths. Most characters are either in need of miracle cures or looking for them. There is a multilingual young woman who says she is descended from the sea, a Korean boy with dyed blond hair who tries to help her, two Cantonese-speaking Indian boys who bathe in the Ganges, a romantic hit man who loses out in New York, a portable urinal in Busan...and much more.
