The Legend of Sarila plot
"Discover the wonder. Follow the magic. Find the promised land."
Autumn 1910, high in the north. An encampment of Inuit nomads is threatened by famine. The situation becomes dire as day after day the hunters return empty-handed. However, no one knows that the shaman Croolik has ensured that all the animals have disappeared through black magic. The wise woman Saya remembers the legend of Sarila, a promised land hidden behind the glaciers, where everything would be in abundance. Legend has it that only those with a pure heart are allowed to enter the place. Croolik's treacherous crow, Kwatak, agrees that the three young Inuit Putulik, Apik and Markussi go in search of Sarila to save their tribe.
