Soegija plot

'Soegija' tells the story of a complex multicultural society until after Indonesia's independence, through various characters whose lives touch and are influenced by the ideas of Soegija, the first Javanese bishop who was installed in the Dutch East Indies. For example, there is nurse Maryem, whose brother is shot dead in the street. And Ling Ling, who is separated from her mother by the Japanese.
