In Marfa, Texas, the rift between white Americans and Hispanics widens when a group of eccentric artists visit the town. The border guards are a brooding presence in the town. Adam is a young Hispanic who lives with his mother Inez. His girl next door Donna is determined to seduce him. Tom, a border guard has a strange fixation for Adam and his family. Things are further complicated by a mysterious woman.
