Diego Star plot

The ship Diego Star is stranded due to poor maintenance in a cold and barren harbor in Canada. The crew is expected to say nothing about the lack of parts and the antique engine, but the African mechanic Traoré blows the whistle anyway. When the ship is slowly repaired again, it turns out that he is no longer welcome on board and it seems that he has to stay behind in Canada. Single mother Fanny, with whom Traoré is temporarily housed, cannot afford to house him either.
