"Every Womans Knows That Matrimony is RISKY BUSINESS"
Rich and spoiled Cecily Stoughton loves Ted Pyncheon, a country doctor who is barely making ends meet. But Cecily's mother plans to marry her off to the wealthy Coults-Browne and conspires with him to prove to Cecily that wealth is essential to her happiness. Ted invites Cecily and her mother to his sister Agnes Wheaton's house for a weekend in the town where he practices. However, this visit threatens to go completely wrong due to the interference of Cecily's mother.
