Ik Heb Nooit Gelogen plot

November 2010: Paralympic top athlete Monique van der Vorst can walk again. She is front page news at home and abroad. How is it possible that after 13 years in a wheelchair, someone can suddenly walk normally? The complications she incurs after surgery have confined her to a wheelchair from her teens. After a serious accident, the characteristics of an incomplete spinal cord injury are added. Then in March 2010 she slowly regains the feeling in her legs. From that moment on Mélinde Kassens follows Van der Vorst's process of returning to society without physical limitations.
