This third part of In The Name of The King is made entirely according to Uwe Boll's recipe. Take a grumpy looking hero. A dash of feminism by means of some Girlpower, a creative but also absurd scenario, a nice dragon and not to forget a total lack of budget.

The result is almost always the same, a lot of chaos, some subtle humor and actors who enjoy themselves with the pulp they are creating. If you as a viewer are able to see the positive in all these shortcomings then you have a nice film. If you can't stand this then you better put on another part of Lord of the Rings.

I had a lot of fun with it again and therefore I can't bring myself to give it a bad review.

Average.

Dominic Purcell is clearly a better action hero than Dolph Lundgren and that is the main plus point within this third part of the pulp series in question. Director Uwe Boll shows little passion with this kind of films and that results in an event that was clearly filmed quickly for as little money as possible. Positive is that the intrusive humor has been removed and the action scenes are clumsy enough to continue to entertain, but otherwise the content of the event is like a pig on a stick. Specifically the mixing of the old world with contemporary culture is a complete failure, Boll also seemed to have far too little budget for it and lacks the creativity to compensate for that deficiency. It results in a number of bad computer effects and a fairly disinterested directorial approach, but for once it all entertains quite well.
