Méditerranée plot
An experimental cinematographic essay following a four-month journey around the Mediterranean, during which document maker Pollet and assistant Schlöndorff visited the countries of Egypt, Italy, Spain and Greece. They filmed what intrigued them and Pollet processed the images into a meditative stream of images. Avant-garde writer Philippe Sollers was asked to come up with a text for the images, which resulted in a poetic abstract narrative. Antoine Duhamel then composed an emotional soundtrack to tie the film together.
