Tokyo Kazoku plot
Modern adaptation of Ozu's 'Tokyo Story' in which the elderly couple Shukichi and Tomiko Hirayama live on a small island. They travel for the first time in their lives to Tokyo where they visit their three children. The eldest son Koichi runs a hospital, the eldest daughter a beauty salon and the second son works in the theater. The kids are very busy with themselves but still want their parents to have fun in Tokyo. Then Tomiko suddenly collapses.
