Blood and Steel plot

"4 fighting men and a girl trapped in 1,000 miles of green hell!"

In 1943, Lieutenant Dave, Jim, George and Cip, four U.S. Navy quartermasters, land their small dinghy on Gizo Island in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. The mission of the group, led by Dave, is to determine the feasibility of building an airport on the island. They pass through a swamp to a clearing, where they are attacked by Japanese soldiers, with George being shot in the leg. The others are then forced to leave him behind.
