Der Turm plot

The Liefers family lives in Dresden in 1982. Father Liefers is a successful surgeon and hopes to be appointed chief of the clinic. However, his years-long affair with his secretary throws a spanner in the works. His son eventually wants to follow him into the trade, but this event plus a sudden crush can change things: he has to deal with censorship from the Stasi.
